Power of Pink was held at The Country Cub of The South in Johns Creek, Georgia, where more than 300 attendees were treated to a gourmet lunch, a breast cancer survivor fashion show, and a silent auction featuring unique offerings from many area businesses. More than 30 generous sponsors, including Kimberly-Clark Healthcare, made the event possible.
The proceeds from the Power of Pink lunch will enable Komen Atlanta to provide lifesaving breast cancer screening services to the women in the Atlanta area to help improve outcomes. Seventy-five percent of all funds raised for Komen Atlanta stay in the area and go toward screenings, treatment and support programs. This money will go to help support the local efforts of Susan G. Komen, providing support to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as to fund research to help find a cure.
